I pay homage one of the BEST character in any video game I've ever played... No names or pictures, due to copyright crap, but ask me some time. She had little screen time... But, she was WAY DEEPER than any other char... Except maybe one... But that's beside the point. :)
What was it you did? What gave you the merit to come to such an end?
All you had was love, for your people, for your brother... But then your world was torn apart... Those you loved changed. Yet you persevered. You pushed on, and when there was little hope left, you kept going. Love drove you onward... The separation between the "Blessed" and "Unblessed" went unheeded, as all were alive. You cared, when all others turned their head to look away.
And then your world fell apart. Mother consumed by the power she sought to wield. It wielded her, and through her, you. Your brother, gone in a flash, leaving you without friend. Your hand was forced, and you had no chance to fight back... But still you hoped. Then the hope came to you in the form of a warrior and his friends. They showed you the way... But then it came to a horrid halt. The warrior lay down his life for you and his friends... And you lay down yours for them, that his sacrifice may not be in vain.
You lay it down. It should have been taken, for good... But it wasn't. It was taken partially. You were taken... And you fell asleep, but only partly. A waking sleep, in which you were used. And you saw it all. No longer were mere worlds at stake... Dreams, and one day; Time itself. But you awoke for a short while... The warrior had returned, and with him, your brother, long lost to time. And they fought, trying to free you. And they failed... But you had the power to save them again... And your brother. You saved him from himself.
Few see it. They see a princess, weak and silent. But some do. A sister, a protector... A future queen. You endured more than could be imagined... Hope never dies. Hold on to it.
There have been some heroines who are purely amazing. This was obviously one of them.
ReplyDeleteHow you portrayed your attachment to, and respect for her was very well-done. The way she cared unconditionally, and kept on going even though things were tough was explained simply, but powerfully. I feel myself being drawn to whoever this is about, with a respect for her.
Of course, since I have no idea what you are talking about the plot which you are recounting doesn't *quite* make sense to me, but I understand the emotions and some of the situations.
Also...the brother-sister plot is so popular nowadays! I'm almost wishing we hadn't done it in our RP, hahaha...Ailith should have been a boy. :P Two brothers on a journey, though, would have been a lot different. My character would have needed to be a very soft guy to want to drag Gris into it all. XD

ReplyDeleteThe game is Chrono Trigger, the Character "Schala". I won't go into details, lest there be spoilers, but... It's a good game, great plot, and leaves you heavily attached. Some guy proposed to his then-GF by hacking the game and adding a whole new area of dialog and characters. Thing is... It totally fit the feeling and sentiment of the game. It was AWESOME.
